Getting Started

This guide explains how to complete your first trade on Signex. The platform is designed to be simple: connect a wallet, create or accept a trade, sign, and execute.

Step 1: Connect Your Wallet

Signex works directly with Web3 wallets. There is no registration or account creation required.

  1. Open the Signex platform.

  2. Click Connect Wallet.

  3. Select your preferred wallet provider.

  4. Approve the connection request.

Once connected, your wallet becomes your identity on the platform.

Step 2: Choose Trade Type

Signex supports several peer-to-peer asset swap types, including:

  • Token ↔ Token swaps

  • NFT ↔ NFT swaps

  • Token ↔ NFT swaps

Select the trade type that matches your intended transaction.

Step 3: Create a Trade

If you are initiating a trade:

  1. Select the asset you want to send.

  2. Enter the asset you want to receive.

  3. Enter the wallet address of your counterparty.

  4. Set trade amounts and expiration time.

  5. Review trade details carefully.

  6. Sign the trade using your wallet.

Signing does not send funds. It only creates a cryptographically signed trade order.

Once signed, the trade becomes visible to the selected counterparty.

Step 4: Approve Token Allowance (If Required)

Before a trade can execute, wallets must allow the smart contract to transfer the agreed asset amount.

If required:

  1. Click Approve Asset.

  2. Confirm the approval transaction in your wallet.

Approvals allow the contract to transfer tokens only when the trade executes.

Step 5: Accept and Execute Trade

If you are the counterparty receiving a trade:

  1. Open your trade dashboard.

  2. Review the trade details.

  3. Approve token allowance if needed.

  4. Execute the trade by confirming the transaction.

Once executed, the smart contract performs the swap atomically. Both asset transfers happen within a single transaction or the trade fails completely.

Step 6: Track Trade Status

Signex provides real-time trade tracking, including:

  • Pending trades

  • Completed trades

  • Expired trades

  • Trade history and performance stats

Users can monitor all activity directly from their dashboard.

Step 7: Cancel a Trade

Trades can be cancelled before execution. Cancelling prevents further execution attempts and removes the trade from active listings.

Important Safety Notes

  • Always verify counterparty wallet addresses before trading.

  • Review trade details carefully before signing or executing.

  • Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed once completed.

  • Never share private keys or recovery phrases.

Gas Fees

All blockchain transactions require network gas fees. These fees are paid directly to the blockchain network and are not controlled by Signex.
